My introduction will remain the same as in previous times, because they are important to understand what follows.
Note; at the bottom of this blog, you will find a link to a documentary made by Dr Hugh Ross, professor in astrophysics. He, along with many of his colleague confirm the existence of God, and that He created the universe in order to SUSTAIN life on Earth. The Earth is the most important planet for God. I think Psalm 95 says it all. It is found on the comment section of the link.
Introduction:
In Genesis chapter 1, we can read that God created the world. Genesis (ኦሪት ዘፍጥረት) 1:1-5
"The Creation of the World
1In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
We can find more information on how God created the world in the Canonical Old Testament books, but non of them are as informative as the Book of Enoch, called Henok in Geez and Hanok in Hebrew. This book, in its entirely, is only found in the Tewahdo Orthodox church, and they have found fragments of it in the Dead Sea scrolls in Israel. It is said that the Levites took these books with them to Eritrea and to Axoum about 1000 years before the birth of Christ. The exact age of the book may be disputable, however, it is certain that it came to be several hundreds years before the birth of Yeshua, or Jesus Christ. Despite the dramatic history of the Jews since thousands of years back, the book of Henoch is non the less considered as the first Bible in the world. Moses based some of his information on Enoch when he for instance wrote the book of Genesis. In fact, Enoch is our great, great, great, great, great grand-father; he was the great-grandfather of Noah. Enoch never died, he was taken up to heaven by God because he was so holy. He was the only holy person on the earth at the time. Enoch is a pre-flood man, and he provides provable information on why God caused the flood. This information is valuable for you, even today.
In this blog we will look into the biblical astronomy that this book provides. This is important in Christmas time because it has relevance for the birth of Yeshua, His star, and on how the three wise men (who most probably were Jews and knew the Scriptures perfectly) could understand the Signs in the skies when they came to worship the newborn promised Messiah.
We can read this from the New Testament:
"Mathew (ወንጌል ማቴዎስ) 2:1-2, The Visit of the Wise Men
"Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”"
God wrote that He made the lights in heaven in order for us to be able to know the "signs" and "seasons .... and ... days and years" and to differentiate between them. Genesis (ኦሪት ዘፍጥረት)1:14.
In this blog, we will be going through the book of Enoch, first through the Tgrinna translation of the Geez biblical text , then from the English translation of the Hebrew texts of Enoch that were found in Israel.
In this blog, we will be going through the book of Enoch, first through the Tgrinna translation of the Geez biblical text , then from the English translation of the Hebrew texts of Enoch that were found in Israel.
This blog is a continuation of Genesis (ኦሪት ዘፍጥረት) 1:14-19. You have to read this if you are to understand the biblical astronomy that God asked Enoch to write for our blessing.
"14And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons,f and for days and years, 15and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day."

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE SAME TEXT THAT IS FOUND IN HEBREW IN ISRAEL. THE TEXT WAS EXCAVATED IN 1940s
Note that if there is any difference between the Geez-Tgrinna translation and the Hebrew-English translation, that it is mainly because while the Hebrew translation is based on fragmented Enoch scrolls, the Geez text was found entirely complete. You should also bear in mind that translations always lead to small minor differences, though they manage to deliver the intended message.
HANOK from Halleluyah Scriptures - CHAPTER 82 The Shamaying traversing Sun - The heads of thousands of the order of Stars - The four intercalated which divide the Four portions of the Year
1 And now, my son Methushelah, all these I am recounting to you and writing down for you! and I have revealed to you all matters, and given you books concerning all these. So preserve, my son Methushelah, the books from your father's hand, and deliver them to the generations of the world.
2 I have given wisdom to you and to your children, and your children that shall be unto you, that they may give it to their children for generations - this wisdom - that passes their thought.
3 And those who understand it shall not sleep, but shall listen with the ear that they may learn this wisdom, and it shall please those that eat of it, better than good food.
4 Baruk are all the righteous. Baruk are all those who walk In the Way of righteousness and do not sin as the sinners, in the reckoning of all their days in which the sun traverses the shamayim, entering into and departing from the portals for thirty days with the heads of thousands of the order of the stars, together with the four which are intercalated which divide the four portions of the year, which lead them and enter with them four days.
5 Owing to them, men shall be at fault and not reckon them in the whole reckoning of the year; also, men shall be at fault, and not recognise them accurately.
6 For they belong to the reckoning of the year and are truly recorded forever; one in the first portal and one in the third, and one in the fourth and one in the sixth, and the year is completed in three hundred and sixtyfour days.
7 And the account thereof is accurate and the recorded reckoning thereof exact; for the lights, and months and Festivals, and years and days, has Uri'ĕl shown and revealed to me, to whom the Master of the whole creation of the world has subjected the host of the shamayim.
8 And He has power over night and day in the shamayim to cause the light to give light to men - sun, moon, and stars, and all the powers of the shamayim which revolve in their circular chariots.
9 And these are the orders of the stars, which go down in their places, and in their Appointed Times and Festivals and months.
10 And these are the names of those who lead them, who watch that they enter at their times, in their orders, in their seasons, in their months, in their periods of dominion, and in their positions.
11 Their four leaders who divide the four parts of the year enter first; and after them the twelve leaders of the orders who divide the months; and for the three hundred and sixty there are heads over thousands who divide the days; and for the four intercalary days there are the leaders which divide the four parts of the year.
12 And these heads over thousands are intercalated between leader and
leader, each behind a station, but their leaders make the division.
13 And these are the names of the leaders who divide the four parts of the year which are ordained: Malki'ĕl, Allammelek, and Melekya'al, and Nĕr'ĕl .
14 And the names of those who lead them: Adnar'ĕl, and Yasusa'ĕl, and Elome'ĕl - these three follow the leaders of the orders, and there is one that follows the three leaders of the orders which follow those leaders of stations that divide the four parts of the year.
15 In the beginning of the year Melekya'al rises first and rules, who is named Tama'ini and Shemesh, and all the days of his dominion whilst he bears rule are ninety-one days.
16 And these are the signs of the days which are to be seen on earth in the days of his dominion: sweat, and heat, and calms. And all the trees bear fruit, and leaves are produced on all the trees, and the harvest of wheat, and the rose-flowers, and all the flowers which come forth in the field, but the trees of the winter season become withered.
17 And these are the names of the leaders which are under them: Beraki4'ĕl, Zelebts'ĕl, and another who is added a head of a thousand, called Hiluyasĕph: and the days of the dominion of this are at an end.
18 The next leader after him is Helemmelek, whom one names the shining sun, and all the days of his light are ninety-one days.
19 And these are the signs of days on the earth: glowing heat and dryness, and the trees ripen their fruits and produce all their fruits ripe and ready, and the sheep pair and become pregnant, and all the fruits of the earth are gathered in, and all that is in the fields, and the winepress - these take place in the days of his dominion.
20 These are the names, and the orders, and the leaders of those heads of thousands: Gedalyah, Qe'ĕl, and Hi'ĕl, and the name of the head of a thousand which is added to them, Aspha'ĕl: and the days of his dominion are at an end.
